Hello loves,You might be feeling pressure to maintain your healthy habits during the holiday season, even though time and resources are more limited than ever and maintaining structure and discipline feels especially hard. I often encourage small daily action over any talk of getting ‘on the wagon’, but first you must decide where you are trying to go. Do you want more energy? To lose weight? Or is health an abstract concept that keeps eluding you? I find in my work that the most powerful step in any kind of lifestyle change is to focus on orienting yourself towards the life you want. Without even taking a step in that direction, the basic act of thinking about yourself through a different lens allows this new version of you to show up. Habits are about becoming the person you want to be, so it makes sense that redefining yourself is the foundational step. Taking action is important for many reasons, but knowing your why will make it that much more impactful and sustainable. This is why my job often feels easy, and brings me so much joy. Once my clients realize that what they really need is permission to be the person they already are, there is instant relief. Rather than layering on a new set of rules, we take stock of your current lifestyle and how you might rearrange what already exists. Before you start a new diet or program or buy a bunch of new stuff, you might find there are solutions right under your nose that just need fresh eyes.
