Hello loves,It’s finally starting to feel like Spring, which is typically associated as a period of growth. Whether you are working on building new habits, setting boundaries with yourself and others, or letting go of old behaviors, there are a lot of mixed emotions that can come up when making these changes. Sometimes growth sucks, is what I’m trying to say. There is grief and uncertainty and awkwardness. There are setbacks and relapses and doubt. There can be pushback and guilt and even loneliness. No beautiful, straightforward path opens up just because you are committed to doing things differently. Falling back into old behaviors feels worse than before because you have more awareness. Sticking to your plan gets tough when willpower starts to wane but the benefits haven’t kicked in yet. Sometimes things get worse before they get better. But it does get better. A way to get through this part is to have people around you who are cheering you on and can see the progress you have made when you cannot. Some changes are immeasurable but no less impactful.
