But often <strong>there is a really good reason why you are experiencing resistance</strong>. Your body prioritizes survival over all other processes—this includes things like fertility, hair growth and even digestion. It doesn’t care about your goals or good intentions; it sees a calorie deficit or a stress response as a threat to the system. When we ignore the more subtle signals from our body that a need isn’t being met, the result can be what feels to us like a lack of cooperation and often our reaction is to double down, creating more threat and more resistance. This can be a frustrating cycle but there is a way out.</p><p class="" style="color:inherit;font-size:.875em;line-height:1.618em;margin:0 0 1.25em 0;font-weight:normal;font-family:'DejaVu Sans Condensed', 'Liberation Sans', 'Nimbus Sans L', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Whether or not willpower is a finite resource, it is only one of many tools available to us</strong>. Slowing down and listening to the these messages, then getting ahead of the problem can be a more effective approach. The mint flavor is…not my favorite, though I have been experimenting with different mixers to make it more palatable. After a few days I did notice more energy and mental clarity so I will push through and hope they release a new flavor.  </p></div>
